The Thurmont Lions Club meets at 6:30 pm on the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month at the Mountain Gate Restaurant in Thurmont, Maryland.

The Thurmont Lions Club is a group of community-minded men and women who have come together to enjoy each other's company, hear interesting programs, and raise funds for important local or vision-related causes.

  • The Thurmont Murals Memories Books are Here!


    By now you have seen them and now you can purchase the Thurmont Murals and Memories Book that will give you not only illustrations of the five murals but a brief history of each. The book contains sketches by Yemi the artist, actual photographs and the murals that are depicted on the Trolley Sub Station. Books can be purchased for $25.00 plus tax along with other Mural Commemorative items at local Thurmont Businesses including Timeless Trends, Brown's Jewelry Store, Mountain Gate Restaurant, and Springfield Winery to name a few. Care Packages for Military Families


The Thurmont Lions Club is looking for local residents who have a family member in the military. We would like to show our support for the troops by sending care packages to them. The Thurmont Lions actively supports the Seton Center Inc., at 16840 South Seton Avenue, Emmitsburg MD 21727 and we and they invite you to take advantage of their Build Your Resources workshops. This new learning opportunity series is open to the entire community. Resources are defined as internal “life tool kits” that can enable you to achieve your goals and thrive. The monthly workshops are designed to give participants more of the tools they need for success. There are no income limitations to participate. Most workshops free of charge, however many of them do require pre-registration. You can find a link to the entire schedule under the “Our Programs” tab on Seton Center’s web site at
