Trolley Trail Refurbisihing

Currently our biggest project by far is refurbishing the Thurmont Trolley Trail into a Walking / Biking Path.  Donations of time, material and funds are greatly needed!  Please contact Lion Gene Long to offer your support. He can be reached at 301-898-7004.

GET YOUR NAME IN THE BOOK! Lions, have you ever wanted to have your name in a book?  Well, now is your chance!  We are having a new fundraiser and we can all participate.  It’s going to be a Cookbook!  In order to get this started, we need to have your favorite recipes.  Maybe there is a special recipe your Grandma used to make -- or a special dish that you always have on your table during the holidays.  So get your favorite recipes out and get them to Lion Robin.  They can be typed or handwritten or in their original print.  I will have them typed up and submitted and your original will be returned to you.  You can submit as many recipes as you like, but I would like to have at least 3-4 from each person.  Our hope is to get this finished to start selling by September.

Super Summertime Sandwich SeriesOur sixth annual Super Summertime Sandwich Series will conclude on Saturday, August 30, 2008.  Pit Beef, Pork, Turkey and Ham Sandwiches will be available from 10:00am until 3:00pm or sellout whichever is first. Sandwiches are available individually or in platters.  Platters come with the sandwich of your choice, a drink, an optional serving of cole slaw and either baked beans or fresh cut fries. This is the last event for the season, so make sure to attend this event.
