Fundraising

Benefit Breakfast - Sometimes, within our community, there is a family with an extraordinary health situation. We work with Trinity United Church of Christ to provide an opportunity to come together to help that family. 

Cash Bingo – In the early Spring of each year, we host a Cash Bingo that raises funds to assist with our projects. We invite everyone to come out to have fun and to help make a difference in our community. 

Christmas Ornament –For a number of years, we have worked with the Rebecca Pearl Gallery to develop a series of Christmas ornaments based on Rebecca’s artwork featuring scenes of Thurmont. These tend to sell out so reserve yours early. 

Easter Egg Fundraiser – One of our newer fundraisers, we get wooden Easter Eggs from the same supplier of the White House Easter Egg Roll. These Easter Eggs feature a community design on them. Hang them, put them in a basket or on a stand – Easter is always in season with one of these eggs. These eggs will feature a different community design each year

Food Trailer – we have a food trailer and can provide concessions for community events, estate auctions or more.

Pit Sandwich Sales - Anyone hungry? You won’t be after one of our now famous Pit Sandwiches. Stacked high with Beef, Ham, Pork or Turkey, you can’t go wrong.  We also have  fresh cut fries and our own TLC recipe baked beans. In bulk or by the sandwich, get yours before we sell out. And don’t forget your dessert, we can help you out there as well. 

Print Sales-In a tribute to one of our amazing members, Nancy Dutterer, a print was commissioned from Rebecca Pearl to celebrate not only Nancy’s life but also her dedication to the Trolley projects.  The image of the trolley and trolley station during its peak, features Nancy and those close to  her.  The prints are on sale for $50.00 plus tax. Contact a lion to check on availability.
